The flexion distraction technique

Flexion Distraction

This technique is widely-used by chiropractors for the treatment of symptomatic disc injuries. Back pain is associated with these types of injuries and often leg pain as well. The flexion distraction technique lets the chiropractor focus specifically on the injured disc, using the adjusting table, while rhythmically working the spine in a pumping motion. The equipment used in this technique usually involves a medical exam table or chiropractic exam table that will allow cushioned comfort for the patient while the chiropractor goes through the routine. While this movement may sound painful, the technique does not cause any pain. Eventually, after repeated treatments, flexion distraction can realign the vertebrae by restoring range of motion to the spine.

Adjusting tables ease the pain

Adjusting Tables

Treating this type of injury typically takes anywhere from three to five treatments but is even more effective in collaboration with physiotherapy, supplements and at-home instruction. Some chiropractors may even have a flexion table in their office. Our line of Hill adjusting tables includes the Hill A-F-T (or automatic flexion table), which is an excellent choice for chiropractors looking for a customizable flexion chair. It features variable speed motorized flexion, electrically-controlled height with dual rocker foot pedals, a pelvic section with lateral flexion and more. This chiropractic exam table and flexion machine, like all our other treatment tables, comes in 20 vinyl color and a one-year warranty on all parts.

Basic chiropractic exam table

A must-have for all chiropractic offices is the Hill HA90. It is our basic chiropractic exam table that makes the chiropractor's job easier with its ability to elevate from 20 inches in height to 33 inches in height. Whether performing manipulation, therapy or mobilization, the HA90 has incredible flexibility, so that the patient and the doctor can refrain from straining themselves. Like most of our adjusting tables, the HA90 is extremely hushed when in motion and glides smoothly into place. When it comes to buying chiropractic treatment tables, don't skip out on the basics. The Hill HA90 has the quality you need at a price you'll love.
