Manual Extention for McKenzie technique
(not available with Auto-Flex)

Flexion/Extension/Distraction

The Manual Extension option converts the basic flexion-distraction table into a complete low-back management table. By adding an extension feature to the existing flexion-distraction motions, the treatment table is transformed into a tool capable of providing all the ranges in a controlled passive environment. The proper healing of any ligamentous tissue, including the annular fibers of the intervertebral disc, require a "controlled passive range of motion" in each of the 6 vectors - flexion, extension, right and left lateral flexion, right and left rotation. According to the work of McKenzie, most low-back pain is the result of prolonged flexion and loss of lumbar extension. The extension feature will help restore the extension range of motion to the lumbar spine as well as enhance the healing of sprained and strained tissues of the low back. The addition of the extension feature will give you a more complete approach to managing low back conditions.
